Painting techniques and methods - Alex Perez Contemporary painter

I don't copy, I interpret and if I "copy" this is a copy of my mental vision of the scene, using various pictorial tools to reorganise the scene according to my personal vision.

For my still life which I call "static natures", especially in my latest painting of the symbolic and the very realistic series, in the edge of hyper realism, I used classical painting techniques.

The drawing is for me a factor of great importance in my work.

Painting outdoors in direct contact with nature, with its lighting changes and time constraints make of this activity something very special, the paint must be achieved quickly because these rapid changes therefore the colourist changing of the environment, this kind of paint can be completed in one session (Alla Prima) in the place or retouched and finish later in the study, although this may detract from the spontaneity of the work done entirely in situ.
